I managed to get my mitts on my new toy via this forum (thank you for mentioning it Keef!) Here are a few pics, a little welding and some keys required but all in all a great little car!

Looks like you were right about the later ignition switch and hence the double-sided key needed for this Matt.

I might have a couple of spares of this type, so fingers crossed.

Fingers and toes crossed  would be great if you do have some to try. Have got Mick trying to find the door lock number as we speak so will let you know if thats ok when he finds it.

Pity you aren't a bit nearer as I could just bring the "bunch" round and try them all. :-)

Doesn't look like the double-sided keys carry numbers :-(

Old Maxi key is marked NSP and has a separate metal tag with no. 4031 on it, so .....

Nothing on the double-sided one I got with my Land Rover :-(

I completely forgot about you holding the records Bryan

I did mention to Matt about the Heritage Certificate being an option; are they still operating?

AIMS OF THE CLUB

a) Generally to help and encourage members to maintain these fine cars in good running order and appearance.

b) To organise rallies and meetings nationwide, and to field an annual Show Day. Members can compete at these events for trophies, these being awarded for the best cars in restoration, and most used classes.

c) To offer technical advice to those people seeking help. We also help those not wishing to carry out their own repairs, as some of our members are motor engineers and specialise in the various models within the club.

d) Spares are offered for sale through the club magazine, and several of our members have stocks of spares for sale.
