Vanden Plas Princess 1275
From April to September 1967 the Vanden Plas Princess 1100 Mark I was offered with the option of the 'A' series 1275cc engine fitted with a single S.U. HS4 carburettor. This raised power by 3bhp to 58bhp at 5250rpm giving a top speed of 88mph. There was no automatic transmission option. The car was known and badged as the Vanden Plas Princess 1275. Apart from the '1275' boot badge there was no difference externally or internally to the Princess 1100 Mark I. Only 825 Princess 1275s were manufactured before the Vanden Plas Princess 1300 with its Mark II body, was introduced in October 1967.
